It was a pleasure to welcome Mr Leon Rebello MP, federal [MP1] member for McPherson to The Lottery Office again recently as he took another opportunity to meet with our team and continue support for small and local businesses in his electorate. Parliamentary
The visit provided a great chance for Leon to step inside our office, reconnecting with the people behind The Lottery Office endeavouring to learn even more about our business and the work our team does every day.
Connecting with the Local Business Community
We marked the occasion with a morning tea, bringing our team together for an informal catchup with Leon.
Rather than simply stopping by for a quick visit, Leon spent time chatting with employees, hearing about their roles and getting to know even more of the people who make up The Lottery Office team.
For our employees, it was a great opportunity to have a relaxed conversation with their local representative and share a little more about what it's like to work for a local business.
Supporting Local Sport
During the visit, The Lottery Office CEO Jaclyn Wood also presented Leon with a framed Gold Coast Titans 2026 jersey, highlighting our principal partnership of the local NRL team. The jersey was a symbol of our commitment to supporting organisations that bring people together and contribute to the local community. Through our partnership with the Titans, we're proud to support a much-loved local team and celebrate the important role sport plays in connecting communities across the Gold Coast.
“Supporting local communities is incredibly important to The Lottery Office, so it is wonderful to meet with Leon and see that he shares that same passion for making a positive contribution to the local community” said The Lottery Office CEO Jaclyn Wood.
Supporting Small and Local Businesses
Local businesses play an important role in creating employment, supporting communities and contributing to the local economy. Visits like this provide an opportunity for elected representatives to connect directly with the businesses and employees in their electorate.
At The Lottery Office, we're proud to be an Australian owned and operated business, with a strong commitment to supporting the communities in which we operate. As well as providing employment opportunities for people across the region, we’re also proud to support Australian charities and community organisations through donations and partnerships.
With over $2.3 Million in charitable funds so far, some of our most recent donations include $110,000 to Orange Sky , $17,000 to Motherhood Village and $25,000 to MND Queensland.
A Chance to Meet the Team
One of the highlights of the morning was seeing Leon take the time to speak with employees from different areas of the business.

From discussing day-to-day roles to hearing about people's experiences working at The Lottery Office, the conversations gave Leon another opportunity to better understand our workplace and the people who make it what it is.
We're grateful to Leon for his ongoing support for local businesses and we look forward to continuing to be an active part of our local community including welcoming opportunities to connect with our local representatives in the future.
