A Victorian woman is celebrating a big $1 million win after matching all six main numbers and the FutureBall number in a recent FutureBall draw.

The 70-year-old player matched all 6 winning numbers 1, 10, 13, 28, 31 and 33, along with FutureBall number 3, securing the coveted $1 million top prize.

When contacted with the incredible news, the winner was overcome with emotion becoming very tearful and overwhelmed.

“It’ll be terrific, it will be absolutely amazing,” she said.

Still trying to take in what had happened, the winner admitted she never imagined she would land such a huge prize.

"I never expected to win anything like that" she said.

Australia’s most winnable million-dollar lottery^

The winner had only started playing FutureBall after being drawn to its unique proposition as Australia’s most winnable million-dollar lottery^.

Her decision to give the game a try has certainly paid off, with her winning ticket now worth an incredible $1 million. She said,

It just seem like a bit easier to win than Tatts lottos or something like that.. or even Powerball, so that’s why I’ve just been doing it

Launched in April this year, FutureBall was created to offer players the chance to win a $1 million prize with a jackpot to be won by one sole winner. Unlike jackpot games where the top prize can be shared between multiple winners, FutureBall’s $1 million prize is designed for one winner to take home in full.

This Victorian player managed to hit the jackpot in spectacular fashion securing the entire $1 million prize for herself and like all Australian lotteries, her winnings are 100% tax-free.

A very special winner’s call

For Rachel Lane, Head of Customer Support at The Lottery Office, calls like this are one of the most rewarding parts of her job.

“I absolutely love making these calls,” Rachel said. “There’s something so special about being able to tell someone that their life has just changed and hearing their reaction in that moment.”

For this 70-year-old Victorian woman, the call brought tears, disbelief and an incredible $1 million surprise.

From deciding to try FutureBall because it was Australia’s most winnable million-dollar lottery^ to matching every required number, her decision has turned into a great win.
