$10,000 Goes to Guide Dogs Victoria

Is there anything cuter than a puppy? Probably not. So when Guide Dogs Victoria reached out to us to support their cause, we jumped at the chance!

Since 1967 the Guide Dog Association have been raising puppies in family environments with the objective of producing fully-trained, social and friendly dogs.

One day these dogs will become invaluable to their future low vision or blind owners as they help them achieve a lifetime of independence.

To help this fantastic cause, The Lottery Office have chosen to donate $10,000 to sponsor a puppy and buy extra toys through our Charitable and Community Benefits Fund.

Demi is a puppy about to em’bark’ on her first 16 weeks of the program.

This includes health assessments, microchipping, puppy classes, vaccinations, puppy raiser selection and matching. She will also get her first set of prized possessions including dog bowl, bed and toys.

Around 135 puppies are nursed every year at the Guide Dogs Victoria facility in Kew. Demi herself is just one from a litter of 10!

Each puppy requires funding throughout their life and this costs in excess of $50,000 for each dog. Sponsorship and donations to this wonderful charity have never been more important.

“By sponsoring a Guide Dog puppy, you can give freedom, independence and mobility to a person with low vision”.

So once again we’d like to thank our Victorian customers for helping us to sponsor this beautiful girl. You can follow us on social media for more pictures of Demi but for now, here she is! We hope you love her as much as we do.
