Your guide on how to win from a US Mega Millions Jackpot

So you’ve decided you want to win money from the US Mega Millions drawings. Brilliant idea! This lottery has the record for the largest ever single winning lottery ticket at an astounding AUD$2.1 billion. Even if you don’t win billions, the US Mega Millions jackpot prize is always guaranteed to be gargantuan, with the first division prize starting at $40 million minimum (AUD$54 million).

But how do you make your US Mega Millions jackpot prize materialise? It just so happens that all the steps are straightforward, and we’ve laid them out below for you. Could they could set you on your way to millions (or even billions)?

The Lottery Office

Firstly you need to find a reputable company to play lottery with. It’s a veritable minefield out there, and shifty companies are a dime a dozen.

The Lottery Office is licensed by the Northern Territory government and is continuously audited. We are the only company in Australia offering licensed and approved lotteries matched with those big international jackpots to allow you to benefit from them. You’re in safe hands with us.

Free sign up

Now that you’ve found the right place to get your tickets from, come and get your free account! Sign up is easy and available to Australians (not SA residents) and New Zealanders over the age of 18.

Select which draw to enter

There are two opportunities to win from a US Mega Millions lottery jackpot each week, on each Tuesday and Friday (Wednesday and Saturday AEST). By entering both draws, you increase your odds of winning.

For each ticket you buy in our approved USA Mega Lotto, we buy a matching US Mega Millions ticket in the corresponding draw.

This guarantees that you’ll receive all the winnings you’re entitled to, without having to rely on an insurance payout to cover your win. We pay you exactly the same amount won by the matching winning ticket that we buy.

How many games will you play?

The more games you play, the higher your chances of winning a prize. And with the US Mega Millions, the prizes REALLY are impressive!

Select your numbers

For each game you purchase, you’re required to select 5 numbers from 1 to 70 and 1 number from 1 to 25.

Check out our article if you’re stuck for ideas on how to choose winning lotto numbers.

It has all the inspiration you’ll ever need for selecting your lottery numbers. Try our tips out and see if they help you to be the next to win the jackpot.

Select how many draws to play

Do you like to play regularly each week? If you like to ‘set and forget’, you can choose to play your numbers for up to 20 draws. This makes sure you have a chance to win weekly, without having to remember to play your numbers each draw.

Want to take a one off punt? You can do that, too! Just buy a single ticket. We have all options covered.

Want to win more? Then use the ‘Multiplier’

The prize amounts for each draw are not determined on a pari-mutuel basis. This means that the non-jackpot prize amounts are locked in each week.

However, there’s a sneaky way you can manipulate them to win even more than usual!

By selecting the Multiplier option for an extra $3.45 per game, you can potentially multiply non-jackpot prizes by up to 5 times! This means even a division 2 winning could deliver you more than AUD$6.5 million. That’s a phenomenal amount for a second division winning. The Multiplier number is selected at random for each draw.

Have a peek below at approximately how much the Multiplier feature could affect your win.

A US Mega Millions jackpot would be great, but…

Why not try your luck with our USA Combo? Not only does it give you the opportunity to win from the US Mega Millions, but the US Powerball as well! Maybe you’ll be like our recent USA Power Lotto winner from WA who took home over AUD$45,000?

Now that you’ve won, how do you want your money?

Let’s say those tickets you purchased have delivered you a monster windfall. Division 1 winners may like to take their prize as a cash option, or they may want to consider the annuity option. The cash option is a one off lump sum payment. The annuity option means an initial payment followed by 29 annual instalments making up the balance of winnings.

That’s it, you’re all set!

Now you know what you need to do to win millions with The Lottery Office. Best of luck!
