$10,000 donation set to help combat homelessness
The Transformations Program Australia is a non-for-profit organisation that aims to relieve homelessness, destitution, and addiction through a holistic, therapeutic and faith-based model.
Since 1999, the Transformations Program has been instilling long lasting changes to troubled individuals by giving them access to counselling, peer to peer mentoring, numeracy and literacy education.
The psychological, spiritual and physical support the Transformations Program offers gives individuals a new purpose for life, creating positive changes in society and encouraging individuals to live a life that maximises their potential. To date, the program has achieved a 77 per cent success rate with participants.
Earlier this year, Transformations Australia launched their Emergency Accommodation appeal to help house homeless individuals.
The Lottery Office is proud to announce a $10,000 donation to support the organisation in providing accommodation for homeless individual’s embarking on their transformation journey.
The Lottery Office CEO Jaclyn Wood said Transformations Australia provides a critical rehabilitation outlet for those suffering at the hands of homelessness, drug and alcohol addiction, destitution, mental health issues and crime.
“This donation will help alleviate homelessness in our community and provide homeless individuals with much needed psychological, physical and spiritual support.”
“By providing a supportive, safe and empowering community, the Emergency Accommodation appeal will have life-lasting outcomes.”
The Lottery Office urges anyone interested in donating to visit the Transformations Program Australia website.
