The Lottery Office Team Helps “Lift the Load” for Mental Health
In October, The Lottery Office team proudly took part in the Lift the Load Challenge in support of the Top Blokes Foundation, raising an incredible $15,620 to help improve the mental health of boys and young men across Australia.
Why We’re Lifting the Load
Suicide is the biggest killer of young men aged 15–24 in Australia — a heartbreaking statistic that highlights the urgent need for more awareness, support, and connection.
That’s why the team joined the ‘Lift the Load Challenge’ this October: to raise funds and awareness for the Top Blokes Foundation, an organisation making a real difference in the lives of young men.

About the Top Blokes Foundation
The Top Blokes Foundation is an Australian charity dedicated to improving the mental health and emotional wellbeing of boys and young men aged 10–24. Through structured mentoring programs in schools and communities, Top Blokes empowers participants to build resilience, strengthen their emotional intelligence, and form healthier relationships.
All money raised through the ‘Lift the Load Challenge’ supports these mentoring programs, helping young men improve their mental health and build stronger connections with the people around them.
What Is the “Lift the Load” Challenge?
The Lift the Load Challenge invites participants to wear a 10 kg vest and walk throughout October to represent the weight many carry in silence. Team members from The Lottery Office each took on the challenge by walking 50 km while carrying 10 kg, showing their commitment to raising awareness and helping ease the burden of those struggling with mental health.
The Lottery Office’s Effort
The Lottery Office team rose to the challenge with energy and compassion. From group fitness sessions to office fundraising initiatives, the team worked together to lift both weights and spirits — reaching a fantastic fundraising total of $15,620.
Making a Difference, Together
At The Lottery Office, we’re committed to supporting causes that make a real impact in our communities. Participating in the ‘Lift the Load Challenge’ was more than just a month of lifting — it was a powerful reminder that when we come together, we can help lift the weight of mental health struggles for young men across Australia.
We’re incredibly proud of the team’s effort and grateful to everyone who supported them along the way. Together, they’ve helped lift the load — one step and one conversation at a time.
