To play Lotto, simply select 6 numbers from 1 to 59 or choose a Quick Play. To win the jackpot, all 6 main numbers must be matched. If there’s more than one jackpot winner, the prize will be shared equally between all jackpot winners. The minimum jackpots are estimated at £2 million on Wednesdays and £4 million on Saturdays. Draws take place on Wednesday and Saturday evenings UK time.

Jackpot Rollovers
There can be five jackpot rollovers. If, in the fifth rollover draw (which is a ‘Must Be Won Draw’), there are no jackpot winners, the jackpot prize will be allocated to the non-jackpot prize categories that have at least one winner. Each of these prize categories will receive a percentage of the jackpot prize. These percentages per prize category are:
Match 5 plus bonus ball: 3%
Match 5: 6%
Match 4: 17%
Match 3: 74%
If there are no winners in any category then the lottery operator and the UK Gaming Commission will determine the rates to reset the percentages amounts actual winners.
Only one prize can be won per single game
A single game on a winning ticket only qualifies to win once. If a game fulfils the criteria to win more than one prize, only the highest prize will be paid out.
Tax
Lottery winnings are not currently taxed in the UK.
Promotional Prizes
It’s possible that the lottery operator may offer promotional prizes to players within the UK. These prizes are unavailable to players with The Lottery Office. The above divisional prizes are offered by The Lottery Office as valid prizes.
